My entry for my first ever game jam! The theme for the Indie Tales game jam is "One Room".

Description: Bot-Co is a robot manufacturing company and you play as a robot who is going through the final QA process and must pass a series of tests before you can be sold. This Jam was AWESOME! Tons left to fix and add to this game, but a good proof of concept for the mechanics I was looking at.

It's neat, but there's some things you could improve. The hitboxes felt janky. It's better just to use a box, rather than the actual shape of the character. There seemed to be some kind of wall jump that I'm not sure was intentional, and jumping seemed to be weird in general. I'd make it so either you jump on key down or if you hit the ground just after, or you jump whenever you hit the ground and  have jump held down. I'd also make it so you don't move while the level rotates, and the rotations happen faster. And either you have to be on the ground during rotation, or it's limited to one rotation until you hit the ground and have things that require it. Music and sound effects would be really nice. And it would be good to have some kind of end screen and probably instructions at the beginning.

Awesome job for a first time jam! Loved the simplistic art style, character sprite, and the rotate level mechanic.

Constructive feedback the game felt a bit easy with being allowed to rotate at any moment. Not sure if there's a finale but the levels just restarted for me, and a small bug where you could get stuck out of bounds when rotating but the reload level helped with that.

Overall congrats!

Aha, I loved it! It recalled me of some of Breath of the Wild's shrines :D

I missed audio in general.

I found a bug: when my player was squizzed between a fixed structure and the rotating wall, it was expelled to the black external area, and couldn't get back. I rotated and it has falled down into emptiness, so I had to refresh browser :D

But apart from that, the game is really nice and fun. I want to finish it!

Nice job!

thanks! I didn’t have time to fix that bug unfortunately. If that happens, you can press r on your keyboard and it will reset the level
